Sign Tulsi Gabbard’s Petition to Become a Citizen Co-Sponsor of HR 676

Hawaiian Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is circulating a petition asking people to sign on as citizen co-sponsors of HR 676, the Medicare for All single-payer legislation.

Congresswoman Gabbard’s petition is evidence of the growing support for HR 676, Congressman John Conyers’ Expanded & Improved Medicare for All act, which currently has 115 co-sponsors in the House.

Further evidence is the recent Fox News interview about single payer with California Congressman Ro Khanna.

To honor Medicare’s 52nd birthday, Congresspersons John Conyers, Ro Khanna, and Jamie Raskin will take to the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday July 27th after legislative business has ended for one hour of special orders. They will be discussing HR 676. C-SPAN will broadcast the discussion.

Activists celebrating the 52nd anniversary of the enactment of Medicare will keep pushing for a companion bill to HR 676 to be introduced in the U.S. Senate.

Single payer supporters continue to call (202-224-4543) and email Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren to urge her to introduce HR 676 in the senate. Senator Warren, who is up for re-election in 2018, has publicly urged all Democrats to campaign on single payer.

Single payer activists are sending the following message to Senator Warren:

“Sen. Warren:

As we approach the 52nd anniversary of the enactment of Medicare there is no better time to introduce HR 676, Expanded & Improved Medicare For All, single payer legislation into the U.S. Senate. This is the way to begin to implement your courageous call for Democrats to campaign on single payer healthcare.

Nothing will electrify the country more than the prospect of a Conyers-Warren Improved Medicare For All legislative initiative.”
