Omaha, Nebraska. The Executive Board of the Nebraska State AFL-CIO has voted to endorse HR 676, single payer healthcare legislation introduced by Congressman John Conyers (D-MI).

The July 22nd vote makes the Nebraska state federation the 36th state AFL-CIO to endorse the Conyers legislation.

Ken Mass, President of the Nebraska AFL-CIO, said after the vote: “Everybody understands what’s happening in healthcare with ever increasing costs, yet it is important to maintain quality of care. That’s why we voted to endorse HR 676.”
