Third State Building and Construction Trades Council Endorses HR 676

Olympia, Washington. The 51st Annual Convention of the Washington State Building & Construction Trades Council has gone on record in support of HR 676, legislation introduced by Congressman John Conyers (D-MI) that would implement a single payer healthcare system in the U. S.

The resolution states that HR 676 is “…the best means to provide National Healthcare for all by expanding and improving the current Medicare system.” The Washington State Council represents 81 affiliated building trades unions.

The Washington State Building & Construction Trades Council is the third state building trades council to endorse HR 676. Previously, state councils in Maine and Texas endorsed the Conyers legislation.
